Australia is a very racist country. look what they tried to do to the aboriginee children, they would take them from their families and place them into reeducation schools and plan to eventually white them out. Do some research on this or watch rabbit proof fence.

Why don't you all stop hating on Australia?
Want a list of all my friends' nationalities? Yugoslav, Greek, Cypriot, Chinese, Japanese, Welsh, German, Lebanese, French-Canadian, South African, New Zealander, Spanish, English, Italian, Brazillian. Nearly every nation was representated at my high school and no racism occurred.
None of my Chinese friends have any desire to become actors (doctors, vets, accountants, yes, actors, no). There has been very little immigration from Africa (we didn't use slaves).
I've never hated anyone based on their colour, religion, beliefs, etc... nor (to my knowledge) has my family and friends.
You're extremely intelligent-deficient if you think Neighbours, and Home and Away, in any way resembles real-life in Australia. Does General Hospital, Bold and the Beautiful, The Bill, etc... in any way resemble life in America/the UK?? It is a soapie. And I hate the bloody show.
Plus the Stolen Generation happened over 30 years ago when my parents were children and my grandparents were in their 30-40s, not old enough to be in power (the govt). Would you like me to go through all the atrocities commited in your nations? I can.

Indeed they are racists myte.lol But on a serious note they need to change the way they think about non-white people as although in the past decade they've let in lots of chinese and asian people. Deep inside they don't really like non-white people thats why they stole the aborigine kids from they're parent and tried to whiten them. So the whole business of increasing the number of migrants is just to show the rest of the world that just like any other developed country they also are open minded and understand the benefits immigration brings to a country whilst deep down they still have racists thoughts and am not just speaking about the degenarates who have not got much education. Am speaking about Austrailian politicians.

Other than aborigines there aren't a lot of black people in Oz. There are more Asians, but you'd see them more in the big cities. I've seen both black and Asian people in Australian soaps.

Because they're clever enough to have more stringent immigration laws than we are and incase you hadn't noticed in home and away Leah isn't exactly white she's Greek and in the passed they have had Lebanese in the show as well certainly not racist just another excuse to have ago at a predominately white country

kooki - What the hell does immigration laws have to do with blacks? Most blacks were born in America just as many blacks were born in Australia.
YT - You're a raging idiot. Affirmative action? Your stupid is showing.
And political correctness has nothing to do with this. America prides itself on being diverse, but really when it comes to race issues we are still one of the most uncivilized. I don't know about Australia's Black population, but I know that they don't have the same history as America. In America, my black ancestors were here the same time your white ancestors were here.
