SF was 82 on Tuesday. It is absolutely gorgeous right now. We are getting a bit of an offshore flow right now which is warming things up. Most of the SF area is in the 80s for the rest of this week. September is the warmest month of the year for SF actually. However, probably only in the high 60s in the city this weekend and into next.

No matter what time of year you go to SF, always bring layers. a light jacket or fleecy thing would be best. It could be 82 in the middle of the day and foggy, overcast and 50 at night. We did have an odd little freak storm last week. Got a bit of rain.

There is usually no rain in the SF area until Thanksgiving. Unless some bizarre weather pattern hits.

It has been quite warm in San Francisco. Highs in the 80s.

However, it'll probably drop back down to the 70s next week.

Rainfall averages 21 inches a year. While San Francisco gets more rain than L.A. (13 inches)... it gets significantly less rain than Pacific Northwest cities like Portland (35 inches) and Seattle (37 inches).

Technically, the rainy season doesn't start until November. But you might get hit with a freak storm, so check the weather reports before leaving.

The weather there should be rather nice with highs in the 70 to low 80s. No rain is expected for at least a week, however a strong disturbance is moving down from the Gulf Of Alaska and is to in the Pacific Northwest by this Sunday, which could mean that rain might fall as early as Tuesday.

saw your avatar- is your whole name Lydia? mine is! I was called Lyd in high school in the late 60's/early 70's! And I was born in SF.... the weather will probably be coolish in the AM and warm up a bit for the day. Bring a sweater or light jacket. Have fun!
