For those of you who mentioned El Hijo Del Santo , you guys are wrong becuase Hijo Del Santo infact wrestled for WWF in the mid 90s.

It was a WWF show on Univision , it was called Super Astros or something like that !!! It was with spanish announcers!!

The Hard thing with this question is when you say signed with do you mean as a wrestler or as backstage staff member. Cos WWE has pretty much signed almost everyone who ahs ever sneezed in a ring as road agent recently. I'm gonna answer this as meaning not having wrestled for the company.

1. Magnum TA
2. Abdullah the Butcher
3. El Hijo Del Santo
4. Art Barr
5. The Great Muta

It's a good question I struggled and had to check my facts. Two others I would like to mention are Alex Wright who was agreat technical wrestler but didn't have the look for WWE and for some reason ashn't been looked at by TNA.

the other one is Michael PS Hayes who hasn't had many wrestling matches on WWE since retiring in 1995, but I guess he is signed by them so I left him off my list.

And yes Arn Anderson did wrestle for WWE in the late 80's early 90's. He and Tully Blanchard signed with them but Tully didn't get a match owing to failing a drug test.

On the Super Astros knock on El Himjo Del Santo. Super Astros actually showed progamms from AAA and CMLL that didn't necessarily include WWE wrestlers. Del Santo wasn't signed to WWE. Your question was greatest to never sign with WWE.

Love the way your getting conversation on this one love your work.

You are correct about Muta and Mistico
Also about El Hijo Del Santo.
Here is who I would say
1 The Great Muta Keiji Mutoh
2 Jushin Thunder Liger
3 Mistico
4 Scott Flash Norton
5 Kenta Kobashi
Some of the best in the world, none ever worked one second for WWE or TNA.

1. Kenta Kobashi
2. Mitsuharu Misawa
3. Lou Thesz (last wrestled in 1990)
4. Great Muta
5. Bryan Danielson

Edit: Danielson has wrestled for WWE, even facing John Cena on Velocity. However, I don't believe he signed with the promotion. Put in Jushin Liger for my second choice if he never actually signed with TNA, and Tatsumi Fujinami after him.

You need to get into Japanese wrestling. A lot of guys are considered great, you just don't know them.

"It was a WWF show on Univision , it was called Super Astros or something like that !!! It was with spanish announcers!!"
Your question includes the words "sign with".

1. Kenta Kobashi 2. Mitsuharu Misawa 3. Toshiaki Kawada 4. Jushin Liger 5. Great Muta Sting doesn't come close to being as good, at least to me. "And those who picked AJ STYLES were wrong becuase AJ Styles has wrestled for wwe in the past". As has Samoa Joe.

3.The Great Muta...a true legend!

Low Ki - wrestled for TNA
AJ Styles - currently wrestles for TNA
Arn Anderson - working for WWE as road agent, never actively wrestled for WWE though
Brian Pillman - wrestled for WWF
Jushin Liger - wrestled for TNA

Great Muta can stay on the list, Mistico will need to be removed from the list eventually...he's in talks to sign with the WWE.

I'm still thinking about my choices...this is a tough question for me, since I only watch the WWE.

I agree with you that it's tough to think of any great wreslters who fit this category. Here are a few decent wrestlers who were part of the old ECW that never signed with WWE when they took over...

John Kronus (RIP)
Steve Corino
Tommy Rich
Chris Chetti

This is really hard because there are several great ROH Stars who have had one match or so on WWE TV such as Bryan Danielson (who lost to John Cena).

So this is as good as it gets for me.

1. Mitsuharu Misawa
2. Great Muta
3. Masahiro Chono
4. Magnum TA
5. Above Average Mike Sanders
