Seal the borders. Allow only legal immigrants to remain (my parents did it legally, why can't everyone else?). Cut unnecessary programs and reduce government involvement in everyday life which would allow taxes to be reduced to the lowest amount in decades.

I'd start by closing our borders except to a few select countries and force other developing nations to stand on their own feet militarily by calling all our troops home for a 6 year hiatus. I would push congress to pass laws limiting foriegn off shore exportation of jobs by limiting tax cuts to those companies and as well excising a tax to import customer service for anything other than via computer or internet over IP. I would push for congress to pass legislation that called for a 5 year plan to impliment alternative fuels and energy resources, establish a free recycle system that pays for non-precious metal, tires and plastics as well as a pound credit for paper goods. Sided with that I would call for the American people to demand that manufacturing and paper companies use so much recycled paper and plastic and etc. I would take what excess military spending and apply it towards education and supplimenting medicare and medicaid benifits. Oh and I would legislate that people cannot build homes in areas prone to natural disasters. Love in Christ, ~J~

Take care of my own country first. I would make sure homelessness is a choice, not because of necessity. I would be more generous in paying our teachers' salaries. I would spend less time policing other countries and focus more on policing the streets in my country.

take away most of the american military budget and spend it on something useful like roads, public transport, famine struck areas
maybe even reduce taxes
