Is there anything I can do to get cigarette burns off of a formica countertop?

If it is not deep (melted plastic) you could rub gently with fine steel wool and then wax it to have a shine.

Unfortunately no. Once Formica is burned you need to replace it after all its basically made of plastic ...

If it's a burn, you can't do anything. Try a mild scrubbing with Barkeepers Friend.. if that doesn't work, it's permanent. Sorry.
