I stayed there twice and it is very nice. It is well located for proximity to other hotels. However, I didn't like that it was so big. The distance from main doors, through the lobby, etc. seems like at least a mile to get to the elevators. Then, after the elevator, it was a long walk down corridors just to get to the room. I'd rather stay in smaller place where I could get to the street a little quicker. My advice--wear good walking shoes because you will be doing a lot of it. However, it is nice to take the transit system to other hotels.

I got married there. I've stayed there several times. The place is HUGE. Some people think that there's too much walking when you stay there.
Always liked the rooms and service, recently have been staying at other properties in the MGM/Mirage family where we get better deals.

The MGM is a nice hotel. It's got some great restaurants and KA - the Cirque du Soleil show is there. The casino area is huge and it takes a while to get oriented as to where everything is. My husband and I were upgraded to a suite there a couple of years ago because they ran out of non-smoking rooms. It was lovely.
My best advice - bring comfortable shoes because you will be doing a lot of walking.

MGM Grand is a great hotel, I stayed there and really enjoyed myself. The Casino has lots to offer and the pools are great. Only thing is that hotel is HUGE!! so bring comfortable walking shoes and try to get a room close to the exit of the strip to save yourself some walking. (I would recommend the hotel to my friends).
Check out the special offers they currently have, pretty good deals. Try booking using a "promotion code" you get a bunch of free gifts like free room upgrade, discount show tickets, spa and dinning credits and more...

Several strip hotels do watch for this kind of thing, and I have seen people caught for it by security. Oftentimes, housekeeping has a list of which rooms are occupied, by how many people, for how many nights, etc. So they could notice if there are more people in the room and they are often told to watch for it. If you do it, tip the maid well. If you get 2 room keys and always go in groups of 2, then you may not have trouble. And make sure that only 2 people go check in! But do know that you could be caught. I agree that it's safer, and much more honest, to just pay for the extra people or go to a cheaper hotel.

Awesome! I stayed there in March. So far it is my favorite hotel that I have stayed at (though I have only stayed there, Hooters, Excalibur. I am staying at the Bellagio in Oct. so that might be nicer : ) Anyways, huge casino and a tons of restaurant choices in the casino and the citywalk. The lions are super cute too. I love that hotel. No good shopping, but that is only a monorail ride away at Planet hollywood and Caesar's Palace Forum Shops.

We stayed there about 3 years ago. We both LOVED it. The decor is really nice. They have an awesome breakfast buffet. There are ton of really great restaurants. The staff was really nice to us. We had a lot of fun gambling, and didn't do to bad there either. We will definitely go back when we have the time/money. New York New York is across the street and is also a fun place to go in.
