strange question....

there is no set height for someone to die from falling. elderly people can fall from what we in the medical field call "ground level" which is no higher than the person's height and death can result due to their fragility.

i've seen people fall from 20ft and live (i work in trauma icu). it just depends on how far they fall, how they land, and how healthy they were before the accident.

if you are considering this, i would advice you to seek professional help instead of asking things on yahoo answers.

A person can fall and die if they hit their head from ground level. People have survived falls from extremly high multi story buildings. So height isnt always the issue. Its more so how you land.

If you are trying to kill yourself - there are much better and less messy methods. I wouldn't advocate any of them though. Think of what you will do to your family before taking such a drastic step and also to the poor sod who happens to find your remains. If you want to get away from it all, join the overseas volunteers and make something useful of your life.

The taller the better. Just avoid things that may 'soften' the landing, such as trees, people, pillows, beds, matresses, piles of featherdusters, the hungry hungry hippo, magilla gorilla, hong kong fooey, etc....
