I was working and suddenly everything on my laptop froze, so turned it off. when i restart it,won't start at all.so I took out 1ram (ihave two 256mb ram)n it started but only for a few mins. can u tell me what is the root of the problem???

CPU light is on but screen is blank.
with one ram programs also workin' fine but, only for a couple of minutes.

Try removing main battery and the CMOS battery for at least 60 seconds. Power ON, press Del or F2. Adjust clock/calendar. Load Fail Safe defaults, save and exit. If problem persists, check your RAM sticks in another laptop if possible.

Does the light on your cpu case come on when you try to reboot? If not, it could be your power supply.
