I am doing a government project and I have to find 10 local issues.?

We are supposed to creat our own policital parties and our group are liberalists in persuit for peace and happiness. We each got a task to do and mine was to find 10 local issues. The other jobs were to find 10 national issues and to create 3 posters to represent our issues. I live in michigan and finding 10 local issues is really hard. Does anyone have any ideas that can help me out?

Local issues can best be found in your local newspapers. Most cities have the news online. Just go to these and read what some of them say and you will soon have an idea.
THIS REALLY WILL BE THE EASIEST WAY TO DEVELOP AN IDEA ABOUT YOUR LOCAL AREA.

errr, without knowing about your locality, it's sort of hard to know, but issues that face my locality are:

kids with nothing to do
drugs,
crime,
dog mess,
supermarkets openning and shutting down local stores
school closures
social housing being sold off for profit,
state of local parks and green spaces,
hospitals not being where people need them,
public transport price rises

Maybe you should read your local paper, or take some sort of opinion poll, or think about what's going on around you and how it would affect young people, old people, disabled, disadvantaged, home owners, tennants etc. if it were happening to them...
