i have this fabulous burberry scarf i've recently found after i misplaced it with my husband's old clothes and other stuff.. unfortunately, not only did i get reunited with my beloved scarf, i got reunited with it trailing the smell of my husbands old stuff.. i need to get it cleaned and ready for the fall and winter ASAP but it says "dry clean only.." can anyone help me solve my problem without having to drop it off at the cleaners.??


P.S.
the scarf is 100% made of lambswool

If there's no stain to clean, just an offensive odor to remove, then I would fold the scarf and put it in a freezer bag and keep it in the freezer for a few days.

That might get rid of the funk. If that doesn't work, then I'd take it to have it dry cleaned.

Hang it out in the frost that should remove any odors. Or put it in the dryer with a damp Jay cloth and a fabric softner sheet for just a few minutes. I have washed lambswool in cold water by hand and just hung it to dry without any problems. After all the sheep do get wet.

It's wool and it requires professional dry cleaning or you could try a home dryer product called Dryel but I haven't had much success with it.
