Two of our leaseholder Flats [from 72 in total] are uninhabited and looking through the letterbox - Aaaggghhhh!!!!
Neighbours have complained about cockroaches.....and I dread to think what else may be living in there??

What can u do??

You need to contact the leaseholders and/or the environmental team if they wont do anything (local council)

The longer you wait the worse it will be.
These are your best options:
1 One open the door and see if you can clean it.
2 If you cant then call an environmental cleaning company.

If you want to keep the tenants security deposits please do so-in fact i insist that you do.

Whatever you do, dont get the local officials involved. They will charge you as the property owner and you will be fined at a daily/weekly/monthly rate depending upon the bylaws/regulations in your area

I think you should speak to the Environmental Health Dept of your local Council and make a complaint and tell them that you are seriously concerned that you may end up with an infestation in the whole building.

I take it they are not there anymore (I hope). Unfortunately, you are going to have to get industrial cleaners in. YUUUK!!
