PortWine: What do you mean you’re pessimistic? This is the most positive question you’ve posted so far! =;o)

However, to address your question: Given that we are first attracted to someone visually, yes I do believe we are looking initially the best looking person. But if you meet someone who visually turns you on, but intellectually or spiritually turns you off, then you’ll move on.

And sometimes we’re lucky to meet someone who appeals to us in an indescribable way. You realize this person is from the same ilk as you, for lack of a better descriptive word.

I don't think thats far off the mark for both men and women. I would say, though, that they would look for as many good characteristics as they can find, as well as the least number of negative ones in equal measure.

In fact, I think more people should be looking out for the negative ones more often. I would say that people wouldn't leave their mates for a lack of good qualities as much as they would for a mate with too many bad qualities. Does that make sense?

Yes, as well as stature in the community. It's a breeding stalk thing and instinct. Women do it too. But we look for slightly different things. Nonthin really wrong with it, But some miss the idea, and create themselves (and others) problems because of their lack of insight.
