So far, I've only given 3 stars, but I'm only level 2, anyway. Of those 3, one was for the Philippines category. However, there was one other star in the Higher Education category that was a question about Filipinos, so it could have appeared in this category. I star questions that I think others should pay attention to or questions where I am curious to learn the answer. I don't spend a lot of time in the Philippines category because I'm not that familiar with the Philippines, so maybe Filipinos ask better, more probing questions? :-)

I'm not all that generous in giving stars anywhere, regrettably, but will try to do better in the future.
I rarely pay that much attention to what category a question is in, so I would say I am as generous in Yahoo-Travel-Asia Pacific-Philippines as I am anywhere else.
I have spent about four years in the Asia Pacific area, two years in Japan, one in Vietnam and one on the island of Guam. I love the area and the people.

Sorry but I didn't know about stars. I only recently discovered what the star sign is for and having done that, I give stars to questions that are real interesting, funny and, mind-boggling.

Let's just say that all those deserving of a star will get it. With TUs, however, I am very generous. I spend at least 5 minutes a day here at YAP doing nothing but giving TUs....I just did to all your answerers (in all your open questions).

I star questions so that others who are in my contacts can also answer the question. The star has nothing to do with being generous.

when i choose a best answer i automatically give out 5 stars.
if a question pleases me, i give it a star.
if anothers answer pleases me, i give it a good rating.
if it doesn't, deadma. if it violates guidelines, bad rating.
if someone answers my question, i give it a good rating.
