I think it was very silly of them not to have dailed whatever emergency number the country the were in uses to call the police, i am not saying the pictures are fake, but if saw someone i thought looked very much like mddy, i will be on the phone immedately after taking the pictures, that would have gotten the ball rolling much faster. Poor girl, i do not know if she is still alive but if she is, i hope to God she gets found, amen.

I would hope to make myself an utter nusiance to the authorities if I thought the picture of a wee lass that I held in my hand resembled Madeleine even the slightest little bit.
However, we will all have to wait and see the outcome of the expert examination of this photograph.
I have to say that the integrity of the media leaves a great deal to be desired as they should not have printed this photograph. What if it is Madeleine surely it would alert the abductors that someone is onto them and perhaps do a runner.
No sense or decency .

The photo was apparently taken through the car windscreen, at quite a distance, on the approach to an otherwise un-noteworthy, un-photogenic and touristically uninteresting gaggle of scruffy Moroccan peasants on the roadside.
The photographer & driver would have then passed the group of people AFTER they took the snap, most likely at a reduced speed, so surely they would have noticed a little blonde head and northern European face bobbing around amongst all those the dark complexions and headscarves?
If it turns it to be Maddie, and the trail hasen't gone cold (again - why are all these alleged sightings reported so much later?) then "Great!", but until then the photo is no more useful than my own holiday snaps of Elvis and Lord Lucan.

The person that took this photo, has said on tele that they were taking the photo of the Moroccan people, and it wasn't until returning to Spain and developing the photos that they saw a resemblance and when enlarging the photo realised the possibility that it could be Maddie, and straight away turned it over to the Police. They could have just thought it was a child that looked like her and never done anything about it, at least they have shown some concern by passing the photo on.

Well some folk are saying that the police did have hold of the photo weeks ago and only now is it being brought up again just to make certain it isn't her, but it could well be a doctored image as it looks uncannily similar to the original photo of her which is plastered world wide on websites, just blurred, its easy enough to do on any good photo editing software. They may have stuck Maddy's head on top another young girls body. I expect loads of sickos in the past sent in dodgy pictures.

When abroad in Europe you can call an emergency number which is 112. Not many people from the UK know that. However, does it work in Morocco. I wonder how many people on here would know the number of the police in Morocco or can understand the language. In many places in Morocco mobile phones don´t have a signal. It´s another world over there to the one you are used to in the UK. You can´t just call a copper, it´s not that easy.

The photo is a fake just some sick idiot trying to claim a moment of fame. Look at the photo its ridiculous you can't tell what the person supposedly carrying Maddie is , just looks like an old scarecrow in a field.Sadly for Madeline I think this is just another great big lie

i have read that they didn't realise until they had the photos developed that this little girl looks like Madeleine. Also people are saying she looks too small for a 4 year old but i have also read that Madeleine is tiny (about the size of a 2/3 year old).

Precisely! Well it does take a little while to effectively fake a photo if what people are saying is true!
I personally think it is a fake and I also wondered why not hand it to the police as soon as it was taken if you thought it was Madeleine! Also, if you really strongly thought it was her, wouldn't you stop and talk to them, try and look at her eye to confirm suspicions etc.?

Here is what I heard...they were taking pictures of the Morrocan people and when they got home and uploaded the pictures they realized the small child looked like Madeleine. Obviously the pic was taken from far away because of the blurriness.

She was too busy calling the McCann PR hotline and checking out how much she would get for the picture from media outlets.
It isnt her - Maddy is four years old and that child looks about two
