Sunsets can be "best" because of the way they look, or the memory of who you were with and what you were feeling. Sometimes a sunset can even be great because it means the end of day that you're glad to be over.
Iraq/Turkey border, May 2007. Because of who I was with and what I was feeling. :)

Best sunset I've ever seen - I was on vacation in Tampa, Florida. This was several years ago, before I married & had children. The reason that sunset was the best was it was on the beach, it was beautiful, I was on vacation, and I was surrounded by a lot of really fun people. Good times!

This past summer in Lincoln city,oregon.It was truly an amazing sunset one that i will always remember and I have pictures to look back on so its all good times.If you ever wanna see a beautiful sunset go to oregon i promise you you will love em.

On a navy boat, at open sea. It's great to watch sunset on the sea while no land is visible.

On my honeymoon in San Diego, California... on a balloon up 4000 feet. We were above the clouds that were over the ocean, and dropped back to earth just after dark.
And the pilot popped open bottles of champagne up there!!

in an airplane - somewhere on my way home from California.
it's slightly weird but very beautiful watching a sunset from 5 miles in the air ...
I got some beautful pictures of it.
