I live in an area that is rapidly starting to resemble the dusty back streets of India.
On the road where I live there are already 3 Mosques and now the Indian community are in uproar because the council have stopped planning permission for a 4th!
Does anyone else think this is a down right cheek?
Where was the last street you saw that had 3 churches?

For your information muslims go to mosques, its not alot to do with the indian community, the are mostly hindus and worship in temples. Is it the Muslims fault that the churches in the UK are not full of believing Christians, if there were maybe there would be a need for more churches. If islam is being practised more and more obviously people need a place to worship. it is not only people from outside the UK who practise Islam but also people from the UK.

It is perfectly natural that people of the same nationality / faith settle in groups of their own kind when moving to a new country, Ask the Spanish about the costa del sol. (Full of British Lager swiggers).
Personally I think all organised religions should be banned throughout the world, They preach love and peace, but can anyone tell me of a war that did not involve religion?
Maybe if all children had to attend multi religious schools and then decide for themselves which to follow as adults, the world would be a better place.
It should be against the law for parents to force a belief on a child, guide them yes, but every ones faith should be of their own choosing at a time they feel able to make the choice.

There has to be a balance in what is allowed in certain areas and i agree that 4 and indeed 3 is too many.

The only way we will ever move forward with full integration of LEGAL immigrants is for them and us to mix so we can't have communities of all muslims, or all chinese, or all nigerians, etc
They will never leave that area, they will never come into contact with other cultures and it will just allow ignorance and this 'insular' behaviour to continue.

3 or 4 mosques in a small area is surely going to concetrate that religion to that area, just as it would with christians, jews, or anyone else.

In some ways i shouldn't care because i'm an athiest but i have to accept these people are here, they're not going anywhere so i and especially them need to make an effort to live together and not in our own little worlds within this country.

If more people went to church in your area there would be more churches.

Clearly christianity is on the wane in your area - why don't you start knocking door to door for funds for a new church? See how far you get?

three mosques on one street? that is strange, but they are indian? there aren't that many muslim indians. but i am muslim and i have never seen that but i live in america. and here there are streets w/ four and five and even six churches on one street, but they are different denominations, but they are all churches. but as long as they don't bother me, which they usually don't i don't care, because it isn't my business who worships where and how many buildings they need for it

any religion is a bad idea, im not saying without religion there wouldnt be any problems thered certainly be less, we keep being told we need to accept all faiths i think by in large we do, its just that it seems to be completely biased against anyone who was born here, still just like criminals having rights over the victims, shame the country is going down the tubes

Our street has three churches, but no-one goes to them any more. They'll probably get knocked down soon.
