Hi,
I live in a very old remote house. Some say it is haunted. If it is they are beautiful spirits because the house has a warm, cosy and loved-in and lived-in feel. Imagination and expectation can do a lot to influence a person's perception of a place and an old house does not necessarily have be haunted in a bad way. What people 'think' are signs of supernatural activity often have logical explanations. Even when I watch TV programs where people spend time in so-called haunted places gathering scientific evidence of such, I'm always left disappointed because so far I've seen little evidence to really justify what is being said.
I know that some places are probably haunted and I do believe in a spiritual world but I would think that truly haunted premises are probably few and far between.

Of course I would, I don't believe in ghosts.

Then again I might take one of my best mates with me .............. He's a professional exorcist (and damned good author).

Don't believe me ..... http://www.david-devereux.com

Can't be bothered with the link .... heres a bit from the biography on there

"In private life he has worked as a mortuary technician, a bodyguard, and a bar manager. He writes comedy scripts and has provided voices for radio. As hobbies he enjoys cookery, real ale, art, music and messing around with aeroplanes. He's taught martial arts and acts as a senior steward at events across Britain. There's been some rock'n'roll along the way, but these days David is enjoying a slightly more relaxed lifestyle between cases and, while normally a pleasant sort of fellow, there are those who think of him as one of British magic's 'hard men', and certainly one that would probably not fit the image of a modern 'Ghost Buster'."

Have on one occasion and managed quite well as i had my headphones on (Just in case some strange noise should scare me). I read for a good while then fell asleep. Woke up in the morning and wondered how come i felt so warm. I was sure the thick quilted bed cover over me was the one i'd made a point of leaving on a chair the night before but! It didn't worry me because i knew that, any ghost caring enough to make sure i'd be warm enough overnight wouldn't have hurt me.

Not sure. I spent some time in an abandoned George Washington's headquarters farm in Heartsville.Pa. I heard a noise upstairs and the hair went up on the back of my neck and I had to get the He** out of there. Just a really weird feeling. The farm is no longer abandoned. Was saved by a local community group.

Has anyone seen that blk/wht movie about these people that get 50,000 dollars if they spend the night at this haunted house. They recieved the fright of their dear lives, and I think most died or something.
Even if I was being offered millions of dollars I wouldn't dare going to a haunted house for even a minute.
I rather not be scared to death or almost scared to death by an item.
But to save a loved one like my mother or father... I'd live in it..

I lived in such a place.

Had a friend over that didn't believe to spend the night. He went running off home late that night.
