Life happens to us and we and those around us may never understand why. That is the real secret. Doing good or paying forward are not 'rewarded' with health, wealth and happiness. The act itself is the reward. This 'secret' business has been recycled every decade and has merit, but there are no guarantees that you will get what you deserve. The Secret is media hype.

I don't know of any "law of attraction," what is it? I guess you can't answer except in an addition, and I'd have to check back for that...
I do know that sometimes it seems that some people have things happen to them that they don't seem to deserve at all; the bad guy gets a winning lottery ticket, the good guy goes bankrupt. However, and whether or not this is a funny way of putting it, I believe that it will all come out in the wash.

Perhaps it's a karmic thing, circular... but I don't think the circle is round; it's more like a wobbly oval or something. Bad will come out, as much a good comes out, each at some point in life or most certainly at the end... for the bad tends to propagate bad in some way, and the good to influence others to be good in some way, no matter what the outside pictures look like.
I hope I'm making even just a bit of sense here. I can see it, but not always explain what I see!
EDIT: Good explanation of some ways of life, slinky... thumb up

Did you mean to say 'What does the secret mean to those whom do not deserve things that happen to them in life?'

If your talking about those who live in poverty and hardship through no fault of their own then it probably wont mean a lot. Although I guess in any situation if you try to think positively then overall your life will improve, even if it just makes you happier within yourself. Obviously what these people desire will be on a different scale to the average person, as they have different priorities. For example instead of wanting a nice new car, they'll want a meal for their family. I guess applying the principles of the secret in this situation could make a difference, but who am I to say if it will or not?

In my dictionary it means a lie but in cambridge it means a piece of information that is only known by one person or a few people and should not be told to others.

The "Secret" means nothing more than the continued influence of Gnosticism on modern culture.

You know, if you are upset with someone, ask us about that instead. I think the replies you would get would be immensely more useful to you than abstruse philosophical inquiry...
