When i saw Rhys' family at the Liverpool football match where they held a minutes applause I sobbed uncontrollably, especially when it showed grown men doing the same.
That family KNOW what has happened to their son, we all do, yet the dignified manner they have dealt with this and the open love and affection towards everyone has made me realise that this is a family TOGETHER despite being torn apart.
you are not alone in the way you think. I have lost all sympathy for the others. I just find their actions , as a parent, wrong adn somehow disturbing, It is something I will never comprehend.
the situations will always draw comparisons as sadly they both have the same conclusion....a child has gone on both sides.

To be fair the Mccanns is an exceptionally interesting case whatever the result is it will be an outrage. If the parents are guilty it's horrific and If they are innocent the police behaviour has been unfathomable. I know Rhys Jones killer is still at large and that is truly awful and unjust especially for his family and friends. My thoughts are with his family and Friends and all those who were close to him. I hope his killer is caught and bought to justice. What more can one say.

The McCanns are already guilty of risk and injury to 3 children ; abandonment, neglect ; and if not through their actions, their child would be here; hard to feel sympathy for such stupidity and neglect; look to their actions for your answers ; Scott Peterson, Susan Smith , all were great actors but not believable, we know where that got them; when the heat was turned on ; they suddenly remembered 2 other children and the need to be a parent ; if it doesn't make sense, it isn't true.

Ruthybabe, we are taught from babyhood to react in a particular way. When people don't adhere to these reactions we tend to distrust them. I think thats why you feel cold to Kate McCann.
As far as she is concerned, tho' i can't understand how she holds it together, i can only suggest that as a mother she believes in her heart that her Madeleie is alive & she knows she needs to be strong to get her back.
Another explanation could be that she has gone numb with grief. Have seen it happen when there was a death in my family. Someone was wrecked with grief at home but held it all back in public. He just couldn't handle it & so clammed up. Perhaps its a sort of psychological defence mechanism?

i agree with you as well
i dont know what happened to maddie
but my friends child died
and i have never seen such grief , we had to watch his wife 24 hours a day as we were worried what she might do to herself the grief was so strong
i have seen none of this from kate mccann
this doesnt mean that she is guilty of anything , maybe that she is just not very maternal , as leaving 3 kids that age alone would tend to suggest as well
all the best

I feel exactly the same!
For me, it is because they have not really shown any emotions, I mean, look at any appeals from parents regarding their missing children, I have yet to see one where they do not break down!
And the Madeleine fund, well it all just seems about the money now!

Maybe you just sense that we are not being told the truth about what happened or given the full story.
