Walk along St Kilda pier, maybe drop a line over the side and catch a fish.
Have coffee at the boathouse in Studley Park.
Check out the tulips at Tesselaars Tulip Festival in Silvan (Melways Map 123 B5).
Walk along the Yarra bank from the casino to South Yarra.
Admire Melbourne's architecture.
Visit the National Gallery.
Check out ACMI (the Australian Centre for the Moving Image) next to Fed Square.
Listen to Derek Guile's evening show on radio 774 - he has live music, a quiz, and a wicked throaty laugh!
Visit Mt Dandenong and admire the views, then check out William Ricketts Sanctuary nearby or the National Rhododendron Garden.
Ride a bike through the huge, scenic Westerfolds Park in Templestowe.
Check out the "Organ Pipes" (unusual rock formations) off the Calder Freeway, or the Calder Park Thunderdome on the opposite side of the road (Melways Map 3).
Visit Heide Park and art gallery, Templestowe Rd, Bulleen (Melways map 32 E5)

Go for a walk through the Botanic Gardens - they are magnificent, particularly at this time of year.
Take a tram to St Kilda and go for a walk on the beach.
Stroll through and window shop the the Victoria Markets and have a cheap lunch there.
By a day ticket on the tram and explore Melbourne for the day.
Make a pilgrimage to all the old football grounds where gods used to play - Punt Road, Windy Hill, Princes Park, Victoria Park, Lake Oval etc (or what's left of them). A tram will get you to all of them.

A day pass on the train(if you can get a seat).
A McDonalds burger,
An ice cream
A visit to Federation Square costs nought.
A visit to Luna Park at St. Kilda, some rides are a few dollars.
If you have a seniors card you can get a discount at certain places.
Visit the Polly Woodside....Thats all folks
