Mine was "Peter and the Wolf". I would say that it had about the same amount of pages as Green Eggs & Ham, and I was 4 when I read it.

My first books I remember was "The Bumper book" & some Dr Suess books; (Green eggs & ham, The Cat in the Hat, etc.)

I can't remember what my first book was, but a real early one was The Boxcar Children. I loved that book.
