It gave LSU the momentum to extend the lead and take the game. Plays like that get the players excited too. That was the momentum changer in the game, even though LSU was already up.

As an LSU fan, I loved it. It was a real downer for South Carolina who was struggling to just stay close.
However, I am wondering why it is legal. Matt Flynn's knee was on the ground the whole time.
I always thought that the holder's knee could be on the ground for the kick, but if it was a fake, he had to raise his knee off of the ground or else he would be considered down at that spot.
You're right though, the look on Spurrier's face was priceless.

It's the kind of play you try when you're ahead and you're running up the score. That's why such plays are so rare in the NFL.
However, they're the stuff that make college football so much more enjoyable.

It was amazing. They had to have the timing just right for it though, which they did. And yes, steve did have a little smile on his face.

What do you think about the term, "broken play"? Sometimes "trick plays" are "broken plays". That is why I enjoy College Football. Them kids make the mistakes which make the game exciting and they are not as surgical as the Pros.
