I always worry about everything from morning to night. Robbery, rape, kidnapping, murder, and I'm not so sure if that's normal.

Hi, I know how you feel, I worry about things like this all the time but yes it is normally but if you are stressed about anything this will heighten your anxiety, don;t worry and try to get this out of your head, just learn to deal with it. I think of the worst senario in every situation, its unreal. I even closed my window earlier incase someone came in while i was on the computer!!

Hi, It is normal, but it is bad. Try to not to think about that as one of the things around you. You will be paranoid and you will become sick in your brain that is.

What you should do, if you are scared in where you live, just as soon you come inside the house, lock the door at once.
Lock all the window before going to bed and always fully dress yourself as if you are ready to run just in case you need to. Always have the telephone handy with you and all these things will make you less insecure being by yourself.

Stop imagining people lurking around your house and be stock with that thought. Instead, think of what is your first move if you see someone. What I'm trying to say is, move on with your thoughts, and when you already have a plan of what you will do, then relax. You know how you're going to fight it, so therefore, you're fine. Don't be afraid because if you are afraid, you will not be able to think smart in a matter that you have to run out of the house.

Attend some kickboxing lessons, or self defense class so you could start relaxing. I think once you know what to do in such situation that you have to face and fight - you will have self confidence and always think that you only fight when needed and when you fight, think that you should win no matter what.

I was like you then, because I fear to be hurt - now, i'm OK. I am blackbelt in TaeK and brown belt in Issh and Kenpo.

I am very relax after I got my black belt

It's not only the fighting moves that you will learn, but self confidence, self assurance, relaxation, and being tough but calm in a situation that you are so scared of right now, and not to harm other people, just so you can make the situation easy for you to run as fast as you can.

Depends where you live.

Probably not.

If possible, learn Karate or Tae Kwon Do.
Running away can be useful, especially if you are fit.
Talking or shouting have worked before now, too.

It is no guarantee, but it could help.

If they make it hard to function normally, no. I mean like being so afraid of germs that you wash you hands after going to bring in the mail. Thar's being phobic.
