Man + Woman + Law = Marriage
Its a relationship designed to take care of basic human needs and wants.
It has as much value as you give it.
There are many alternatives to marriage so it is not as if you cant live without marriage. You could go for a live in relationship, you could just stay single and date whomever you please, you could have a relationship with someone without marriage it all depends on what you are comfortable with.

marriage is a relationship where two minds, as well as two bodies come together and become one. Its not only living together but its feeling together each moment, happiness, sorrows, hopes, etc.
before marriage u r just single thinking of only abt yourself. After marriage u have responsibility of two familites together. You are someone's wife, daughter in law, mother, and so many relationships. You have to see that all others are living comfortably.

Marriage is a legally, socially, and religiously sanctioned relationship that is the foundation of a family. A man leaves his mother, and a woman leaves her home... and the two join their lives together as one (man and wife = marriage), and then they start to have and raise children of their own. It also gives them legal benefits of inheritance from each other, and insurance coverages for family members, etc.

if u ask me then i would say marriage is a life time commitment .we get married so that we can share our joy and sorrow with each other .marriage is that bond in which both live life for each other....in marriage the couple not only accept each but accept the two family there joy and sorrow ..marriage is that bond in which no one can interfear anytime(third person) while marring the couple takes phere means they r giving there trust to each other ,there joy and sorrow ,promise to except there family in any ways ,she will b with him till the end of there life, she promise that she will die for her husband,

Marrage is nothing but unwritten promise to your life partner that
1) you will remain with her/him for rest of life
2) you will be equillay participate in his/her life for creating it better
3) you will be faithful with him/her during the priod
4) you will satisfy him/her mentally as will as physcally
5) you are equally responsible for every ups & downs as per him/her
this is requirement of human for forming deciplened, growing & planed society.
Think every one is not bounded by society then every human will seek partner for sex and will not obay any body. Also leving with such society will be difficult for small boyes as human will not take responsibility of newly born boyes also will not have respect to yelders life will be like animals.
The differance from above mentioned culture & our society is value of marrages in our life.

but then again with kalyug and one partner wants that and the other partner deosnt divorces are enforced
