It all comes down to life and evolution etc are a product of the environment. Simmilarly if humans spent a few generations in space we would rapidly change our form. Germs being such simple lifeforms can change a lot more rapidly than us.

Look at what happened when the dinos became extinct. there was a major environmental catastrophe that meant what they were used to no longer was there and they could not thrive. So the wee lil mamals had their turn. There could be no greater change in environment than a change in gravitation effect. Given a space capsule is a balanced environment that humans can live in any other earthbound lifeform could continue to survive in space and as such this profound change in gravity will very very quickly change how microorganisms work.

This is why an ionosphere and an ozone layer are so important. The ionizing radiation available in space may have a much greater effect on mutations than we are likely to see here on earth.

Yes. Apparently the salmonella virus becomes more virulent in micro gravity.
Its carried there by humans BTW.

some thing about the closed environment ?
i don't think if germs rode here on a meteor would jump ship in mid-flight.
