Yes, only you can carve out your own life... teachers, parents, siblings are all just there to help you find a way... some might be there to just throw a huge rock at you so that you can fall and never get up.

You can't make your own way through life.
You are born because your parents had sex.
A doctor of midwife is there to help with your delivery.
You are fed and bathed and clothed and educated from the point when your head is too heavy for your neck to support it to the point when you die in some rest home or hospital room.
There are always people there for you, to support you, to inspire you, to make you feel appreciated and loved.
That is life.
Only a small part of it can be called your own and the rest is what people and circumstances give you.
You can try and make of life what you will but in the end what remains will not be of your own making alone.

In the beginning, you can vent on yourself that you are a 'so-called' independent soul, but you realize with the course of time that you can't certainly climb the tree of life without the support of solid branches. These branches can be supportive parents, true friends, helpful third parties, reliable institutions, etc. As you go on, you start to tell yourself, '' I'd still have been on the ground had there not been all these branches''. Through life experience, you gradually learn to fly on your own wings, there always comes a time in life when you desperately need the help of family and friends!

For 99% of the population, this is absolutely true, but for the remaining 1%, because of money or ill health, they are cocooned in an artifical environment that bears no relationship to the real world. They either live their life in a fairytale or a nightmare. Those very few that do attempt to exist in reality, usually make a mess of it sooner or later because they are not equipped to exist in the world as the other 99% know it.

Nobody can make his or her own way through life without the help of others.Nobody is made in a vacuum.Without the help of others, one will not make way in life. One can take a decision on how to make way in life, but that way can never be different from some others that are not different from one

May I answer this question with a question? If YOU don't make your own way through life, who WILL make your way?
