It is Venus. It is the brightest object in the early morning sky after the moon. Look carefully and you will see it does not twinkle like the stars do

Meteors are always entering the Earth's atmosphere...thousands of them every day. All but a few burn up long before they reach the surface of the Earth. There are currently no bright comets in the sky, and certainly none heading towards Earth.

What you're seeing is the planet Venus, currently in the morning sky, but visible most of the time either in the evening or morning sky. It is a perfectly normal occurrence. If you paid more attention to the sky, you would have noticed it there hundreds of times before.

You are seeing the planet Venus. You are only surprised by it because you usually pay no attention to the sky. Venus is usually the brightest star in the sky and it is always seen either in the East just before sunrise or in the west just after sunset. For the next few months it will be a morning star.

I haven't followed the positions of the planets lately but it's probably Venus and we are in no immediate danger.
