yes, it's possible .. but not likely.
If you are miscarrying at 17 weeks, there's usually a cause (lifting something heavy, etc.)
most miscarrages happen BEFORE 12 weeks when your body naturally rejects the fetus because there is a deformality.
At 17 weeks your body has already gone through the process of natural selection .. and there is most likely a healthy fetus or your body would have already rejected it. That's why it's SO important to take care of your body and NOT lift anything heavy .. or put anything into your body that could be harmful to your unborn baby once it starts living off of your blood stream (after 12 weeks).

It is possible to miscarry at 17 weeks. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. A friend of mine had a miscarriage at around 20 weeks. If this person believes she's having a miscarriage (severe cramping with or without bleeding), she needs to get to the ER right away. It's possible they could stop it from happening if she gets there soon enough. Good luck!

I don't know what your previous question was or the details but a doctor should be consulted if you have concerns (or the person in question)...aches/cramps/pains are all normal as far as I'm aware - so long as they are not constant/severe or with bleeding....a miscarriage can happen at any stage...much less likely after 12 weeks but not impossible...after 20 weeks I believe it's called a stillbirth...good luck

Its definately possible at any stage of pregnancy, although the further along it is, is obviously the harder in terms of delivering the fetus. If there are any suspicions about miscarriage, the woman should go to her doctor or ER asap especially if they see blood. Don't wait, they can stop early labour if necessary and the earlier they get it the better.
