I wanna go t Chicago but my brother is totally against it, so now i'm stuck finding some other place. Anyone know of any places that are cool to visit?
we only have like two full days, three nights, and two part days (where we'll be driving the rest of the day).

Try picking out a place where you and your family have never been before.
It depends on what you like.
There are the Lake of The Ozarks but if you are wanting to swim, it might be a little too cold for that now

You could go to Branson. There is plenty of things to do down there. They have shows running all the time and plenty of things to see.

And if you go to Branson, stop by Silver Dollar City

If your family likes a small quite town and tasting wine, go to Hermann Missouri.

You could go to Joplin.

There is a really neat waterfall down there. It is the only all year natural flowing waterfall in Missouri.

Here is a site where you can build your Missouri trip.

And if you decide to go down 44, stop and see Meramec Caverns

Why not measure out the farthest distance you are willing to drive and then draw a circle around St. Louis at that distance and see what is included? If you draw a circle it will give you a general guideline of how long it will take you to get to anything inside the circle. Maybe Cincinnati or Columbus or Nashville or Memphis....
We really like Nashville and end up there often (even though we aren't big Country Music people! - there are a lot of other things to do there and it is a very easy city to navigate.)
Also like Knoxville - Has an awesome ZOO!
There are so many options, but from your question you didn't list what kinds of activities you are looking for or what ages everyone is...or even what time of the year you are planning this...More details would help./

what's wrong with Chicago? I moved here 20 years ago (from NW Arkansas) and I still haven't seen all the sites available. Downtown is great, Gurnee has 6 Flags Great America (I know St. Louis has one also, but it's a different one here) on the other hand...there is Branson and Silver Dollar City...that's fun. what about Nashville? not sure how far that is from St. Louis. Regardless of what you decide...have fun making great memories with your family.

I really like Indianapolis. It's a nice city and there are a lot of fun things to do.
Or you could try Louisville, Kentucky. It's a pretty cool city, too.
Memphis is OK.
Kansas City is pretty fun.
What about Des Moines, Iowa?
You could drive about 8 hours and go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I love it there. It's sooooooooooo beautiful.
