my brother keeps telling me that the u.s has a is 200 Megaton bomb? i dont believe him

The U.S. nuclear arsenal is based on the idea of relatively low-energy warheads delivered with near pin-point accuracy. A large warhead for the U.S. would be in the megaton range. Most of the ICBM and SLBM warheads are around 0.5 megatons. Here's a list of all the warheads deployed by the U.S. The ones at the bottom are those still ready for use.

The biggest bomb humans have ever made was the Tsar Bomba. It weighed in at a hefty 50 megatons. The original design had a yield of 100 megatons. I doubt that the U.S. would bother to make a 200 megaton bomb. It's just too inefficient. Most of the energy would be radiated off into space. Such a bomb would only be to intimidate or show off.

I think they have gotten up making ones of 60-100 megatons; if that isn't big enough for your particular application, you could always put 2 or 3 together with duct tape!
