I read loads and loads of short stories as part of my job as Editor at http://www.abctales.com
Why not come on over and take a look at some of the almost 50,000 stories and poems on there - there are some really great ones (and some awful ones too!) Just go to the 'cherrypicked' pieces and you will find the best of them.

As in short stories in particular? I keep a short story book beside my bed. I like to read something short before I sleep. If I start reading a novel, I am up all night. So I read short stories quite often. Pax - C

That depends on how you categorize stories. Is it novels or short stories? As for me,I read too many short stories (Stephen King's "Night Shift" and " Nightmares and Dreamscapes") and at the moment, I am reading at least 4 novels and trying to finish them altogether within the next month. I read a lot, and I just start picking up random books (usually with an intention of finishing them sometime during my lifetime).

I read everyday, usually before I go to sleep, sometimes at other times of the day when I get the chance. I suppose it depends what you mean by stories, I usually read novels but sometimes pick up short stories as well.

I borrow 3 books from the library ever 2 weeks, and usually the last couple of days before I take them back I have nothing to read. I read when my son goes to bed, and I'm a quick reader, so it's not like I read all day

I try to read every day! I've been so busy packing and getting ready to move across the country that I haven't had time to read much over the past while, but generally I read a bit every day.
