Promoting racism by stealth by implying that it's better to look white than asian?

It's not the first time either. I remember one make-up ad with Beyonce Knowles and I swear to god if you'd never seen her before you'd think she was white the way they filmed her.

If so I think it's a shame. I agree, that -is- stealth racism.

Rai has the most incredible eyes! She should promote eye makeup! They'd make a billion dollars!

Bob J, you're mistaken! This has more to do with a misguided sense of beauty than with race...!

Some people love the idea of being fair for the simple reason that most cosmetics cater to a lighter skin tone than to a dusky one!

Am certain Ms.Rai is proud of being Indian & is just catering to those young girls who want to get with the latest make-up fads. Its a fashion thing...like streaking or high-lighting one's hair...NOT anything racist .

Edit: Its like saying those to perm their hair to get their curly locks would rather be black than white...!
C'mon, its got nothing to do with race!

what a shame! I thought she would be was less shallow than that! thats vain and narrowminded for an actress to do that.
