This chick @ my school has a crush on Elvis & Kurt Cobain & sexually wants them. She's not a necrophiliac or anything, though. She wishes they were still alive & she thinks they were adorable.

If her crushes are while she is thinking of them as being alive, then it's pretty normal. If she's thinking of sexual activities as they are now, abnormal.

No, it's totally normal. In a sense, celebrities aren't real to us, we have never met them and probably never will and so a celebrity being dead doesn't really make much difference to the crushes.

As the person below said, men still idolise Marilyn Monroe... they know she is dead but they are attracted to the Marilyn Monroe they see on TV/in magazines....

It doesn't make your friend sick... I would guess she is a teenager, or close to it in which case it's perfectly normal.... Elvis was a very sexy man as was Kurt Cobain at times!

I would also guess that she doesn't actually want to be with Kurt Cobain/Elvis now... she realises they are dead, it's just a crush with an image she sees on TV/in magazines but she would happily create a relationship with a real, live person should she meet the right one for her!

I dont think thats wrong. I kinda still have a crush on Aaliyah and god do I miss her. Beautiful and talented. I know a girl who is really into Tupac and girl cousin really like pro wrestler Owen Hart who died in 99, so no, its not weird. Many women are still in love with Elvis and he's been gone for 30 years.

Nothing wrong. It happens with a lot of youngsters when they watch late celebrities on the big screen and fall for their image. It is similar to seeing the current stars who are in any case inaccessible to most...

I don't think that's weird. If you wanted to have sex with a dead boyfriend, then yes, you'd need serious counseling.

But crushes on dead famous people are okay, IMHO!
