Yes, and the answer is to realize that knowledge should never hurt you. If your happiness depends on not-knowing, then it was never real. Socrates said "the unexamined life is not worth living". I really believe that, and the more honest we are with each other, the closer we will be to the truth and real happiness.

yes! today i found out that this guy i know was seriously abused as a child. his parents were druggies and when they didnt have money to pay off their dealers they would let the dealers borrow their children for a week or so at a time to have sex with them or do with them whatever else they wish. its probably one of the most disturbing things ive ever heard. its very, very sad.

Yes, it's happened too many times, there are some things I would never care to know but the things that I do need to know I don't find out until it's too late!!

Yes this happened to me on Friday. When I found out my brother was arrested with nooses hanging off the back of his truck.

Hell yes. When i was a kid I found out that my dad was an escaped convict who escaped to this country on a fake passport and then married my mum. Because of that, it meant that my last name wasn't even real, and that I didn't even know my dads real name after living with him for years. =P
