Ok I asked a question about the universe & the secret & I didn't get to pick a best answer because I no longer have yahoo at work & don't yet have internet at home so I rarely get to use answers anymore... Anyway, I am disappointed with the best answer that was chosen since it went on at length about atheism, satanism & God knows what & I disagree with it completely!!!

For the record, I'm a Catholic. I believe in God & Jesus and I love them. I don't think that spirituality has to be narrow-minded and limiting. If I refer to the universe, the secret, quantum physics or our own personal power it doesn't mean that I don't believe in God!

The bottom line is that there is something greater than us. There is a powerful force, an energy from which we came, an energy that is within us & when we tap into it, miracles happen. God is a word that represents a divine being, you could substitute the word nature, energy, universe, love & I don't think God would be offended! Just my opinion!

God has many names, as we all know. But to call him king, does not differentiate between which king or over what.
Does this offend him? No, of course not. You are his child and he would no more be offended than you would if your child chose a name for you that could not encompass your true attributes. God is more interested in your direction and your obedience, than in your grammar, semantics or even your educational position. He has all the time in the world (plus some) and If you are to be with him, you do too.

If God exists then He created semantics. He set in motion the base level things about semantics like words and terms that refer to objects when His mechanism of cognitive evolution reached the point when language emerged. All primates have some form of language, hence at least basic level semantics. Higher level semantics linked concepts with other concepts, building on lower levels in ways that are still not well understood. God must be fascinated by how the impetus he gave to these mechanisms and the creatures he let evolve use them. In that way He cares. But all that presumes His existence.

the name God , the only being, the root of all beings; he is therefore, at the greatest distance from not being, and that is eternal. So that is signifies his eternity, as well as his perfection and immutability. As the essence of God cannot be bounded by any place, so it is not to be limited by any time: as it is his immensity to be everywhere, so it is his eternity to be always. As created things are said to be somewhere in regard of place, and to be present, past, or future, in regard of time; so the Creator in regard of place is everywhere, in regard of time is semper. His duration is as endless as his essence is boundless: he always was and always will be, and will no more have an end than he had a beginning; and this is an excellency belonging only to Him...not nature, energy, universe, nor love.

I honestly don't think God cares about semantics.

By definition (theism), it is impossible for God to "be offended" or altered in emotional status in any way whatsoever.
