I was always told when I was growing up that I was morbid because I was always writing poems about death & murder & likeing dead actors or dwelling on death & people who have died. Is it common to be morbid? Are you morbid too?

I have morbid thoughts. Just the other day I was thinking about the perception of a head falling into a basket after being detached from it's body by a guillotine. How long after it's been detached does it live? Other than the pain of the cut, does it feel the absence of oxygen to the brain, like asphyxia? Yeah, I know... morbid.

PS. Good material for a poem. But without the scientific innuendo of course.

Many have a morbid side. This is what sells horror flicks and books. It's only abnormal if you actually live your life in morbid mode.

Actually, yeah I am morbid. It's just the way I am. I don't think there's anything wrong with it..in fact, it inspires me when I write things.

Everybody is to a certain degree. When you look at a dead person they call that morbid curiosity.

I've written a lot of morbid stories and poetry. Currently about a French boy in the 18th century who self injures and will die in a hospital because back then they treated the mentally ill very poorly. Also, I'm a goth so my clothes are usually dark.
