You would make the bed unless you are paying for a full time maid or housekeeper. In the case of a maid or housekeeper, the job is to keep the place looking nice all of the time.

The bed stays like that, and you see what kind of manners the next person who sees it has (or is lacking). Unless it was me you hired to make the bed...I'd tidy it again for you.

I'd say that the bed maker has finished his job once the bed is made...........you jump on it afterwards.....you fix it.
