There are fewer black qbs in the league because the white qbs are better (nothing to do with color just skill). Same reason why there are no starting white running backs and i believe all the kickers are white. It doesnt have to do with color its just skill. Mcnabb was criticized because he didnt play well, not because hes a black qb not playing well. In week 3 he played amazing and noone said "That black qb was just lucky" I dont know what these black athletes are complaining about. Same thing with some black analysts saying Michael Vick was set up or he was treated unfairly. The man killed dogs. Doesnt matter if hes white or black. Its the 21st century. Cant we all let this whtie vs. black thing go already. Oh and by the way I am asian so i am not biased.

Everyone is biased including asians. You statements could definitely be considered bias. McNabb is talking about the fact that he played through numerous injuries, led the Eagles to 4 NFC Championship games and 1 Super Bowl but he still get criticized by the Media for everything bad involving the Eagles organization in his view. In his words he just doesn't get the respect he thinks he deserves like a Favre, Manning or Brady. Do you remember the comments Rush Limbaugh said about him a few years ago? But since he hasn't won a championship yet, he's just going to have to live with it!

Black Analysits have the right to voice their opinions too. That's what they get payed to do!! And most Black analysts I've heard don't condone M. Vicks actions but they do have a problem with the media and others portraying Vick as Bin Laden or Hitler.

THE RACE CARD IS BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

no matter what it is the race card is crap, im white and ive been harassed by cops and authority figures more then any black person i know. which yes is more then 1.

he needs to shut up and quit pulling the race card i know there arent manny black starting quarterbacks in the league but over 50% of the league is black so how can he say black are treated differently, that treatement would become the norm because its the reg, and its bullshit cause he doesnt get critisized differently because of his skin its cause he screws it up, unless the ball is hitting his wr in the hands and bouncing out the qb will always take the fall for the loss. lol grossman takes more crap than any quarterback and they say nothing different about him then they do about mcnabb. hes is just looking for a way to get the pressure off of him for them sucking so bad

i wish people would stop pulling the race card. someone once tried to pull it on the teachers at my school saying that they where blaming him for tagging the school and stealing food because he was black, he even kept saying that after they proved to him that it wasnt because he was black but because they had it on camera..........the race card is just a trick to try and get out of an ordeal when someone is guilty

McNabb was deflecting from his own failures by playing the race card. I always thought that he was smarter than that.
He should already know how the Philly fans and media react to poor play. Duh!

The color thing in sports is not about black and white. It's all about the green. There's too much pressure on coaches and teams to win. No one is playing the race card except for losers.

i really wish everyone would drop the race card. it's so hard to ignore. it's everywhere. even in comedy..like dave chappelle, katt williams make jokes out of it and make it funny, as much as i don't want to laugh, most of the stuff they say is funny b/c its true. i guess in places like that it may belong because it brings laughter to some people who need it. but in a sport, it should b a non issue.
donovan might have had a bad experience before that led him to say that. he's usually an eloquent speaker and communicates his messages very well but this one he's wrong.
if we're gonna go there, i'd say that white QB's are raised to play QB born & bred in texas and football towns. just like black SF's in the NBA are born to be ballers. they grow up on the courts.
mcNabb is saying indirectly that white basketball players are more criticized than and have to work harder. do you think you'll ever hear one of them say that? no they find a niche, know their role, shut up and play.

If the Eagles are winning, McNabb is a hero. If you are not winning in Philadelphia, whether you are the 76ers, the Phillies, the Eagles or the Flyers, life is tough no matter what color you are. They threw snow balls at Santa Claus a few years ago.

He backtracked from this statement somewhat.

It's now said that he means that they are criticized differently. And I agree to an extent.

Grossman and others get more heat than he does now, so the Black QB gets criticized more argument is completely off the table.

He realized how unskilled he is so he's trying to make an excuse for himself. All he can do is cry cry cry that's why T.O. had to put his foot down when playing with crybaby McNabb.
