Don't even take the chance. CD's are PG. I would NEVER EVER trust a single movie there. I've got some other earth shaking, startling news for you. This WASN'T easy to find out, but I'll tell you and the rest of the Y/A world, at the same time. I know you'll find this uncomprehesible, or even thinkable. I hope I don't get in trouble, for my sharing of free speech in the USA. One of our rights. Here goes... You think the CD's and DVD's are questionable. Let's shift our attention to their camera department. This will get me trouble. I know it. But here goes. 2 cameras. IDENTICAL name, model, model number. THE SAME?? So you think. Wallyworld orders, say, 2000, for distribution to a bunch of their stores. Only 1 major change. The one they order, has way less features, and things internal, than the SAME one you could buy somewhere else. Once again....Same Name, same model number, but a CHEAPER version. Outwardly, you, can't tell. It's NOT the same camera. ALSO, they don't sell ANYTHING that can't be returned. Their vendors don't get a foot in the door, unless they have a buy back policy. Try that act at BEST BUY. Bottom line. Wallyworld is taking over the world, and doesn't want you to know bad words exist. Need I say more??

Yes, Wal-Mart receives edited versions of movies.

I first learned this back in 2000 or 2001 when I bought a copy of Robocop on VHS. (I did not have a DVD player back then.) I immediately noticed one of the scenes they deleted. One of the bad guys is immersed in toxic liquid. A car then runs him over and the body just "splooshes" into bits. That scene was edited out of the movie.

Last year, I was in a cabin on the lake for a week. I got so bored because my girlfriend only bought children's movies for her niece and nephew. I picked up Batman Begins (Two-Disk Deluxe Edition) for us adults to watch after the kids were in bed. I noticed that they edited out a scene where Scarecrow puts on a mask and scares one of his "patients." (I could not figure out why that was edited out.) They might have edited out other stuff.

I remember this raising a little bit of a stink a few years ago, back in '97 or '98. I can't find any links on it, though.

Good luck!

Shop at Target or Kmart...

Wal-Mart is the worst example of corporate greed in history!!

Your tax dollars pay for Wal-Mart's greed:

The estimated total amount of federal assistance for which Wal-Mart employees were eligible in 2004 was $2.5 billion !!! That's 2.5 BILLION we could use for our schools or whatever else OUR money should be used for.

It's the sad truth that Wal-Mart employees are at poverty level while that horrible company makes billions of dollars each year.

Stop shopping at Wal-Mart and send them a message that they give America a bad name

No, but they do edit CDs with parental advisories. The reason for this is that movies have a standard ratings system, while music does not.

No. Walmart is the company that is responsible for editing these films. Now whether the films you get from Walmart are edited is another matter.
