Hi,
Nothing in life is predictable or static. Change is a way of life and sometimes that means having to leave everything behind. We start experiencing this when we are young, moving from one school to the next and up a classroom each year, leaving old friends sometimes behind and making new ones. Sometimes we have no choice about it: we must carry on. Sometimes leaving it all behind can be for the best.

I will give a real example of courage. Many people from my community were uprooted when India was partitioned in 1947. They had to leave everything behind in Pakistan, whatever was theirs since centuries. Apart from material wealth, they lost their identities too. Many were important personalities within their circle but were reduced to ignominy and had to rely on others' charity for survival. But they held on and rebuilt their lives brick by brick again through sheer grit, determination and courage, not letting their morale go down. MOst of them became very prosperous once again. Now, that's what I call 'carrying on' after having had to leave it all behind. Not something that just happens in your mind....

I hope I would or could 'carry on' no matter what happens or what the circumstances would be.
I feel like a pretty strong willed person and usually I can adapt to any situation.
Experiences in a person's life gives them the ability to become stronger or weaker.

Yes, and have done it. I was married to an abusive scary guy. He was an alcoholic and was was schizophrenic. He threatened to kill me on numerous occasions. I packed in secret, only what I needed and the cats and I took off in the middle of the night and drove across the country to get away from him. I had 150.00 dollars , two cats, two pairs of jeans and two tops, and pictures of my kids when I got to Fl. I left family heirlooms, property, and everything I hold dear to my heart. But we move on and realize what is truly important. Peace of mind, and happiness. I still struggle financially but will never regret leaving it all behind.

Yes. Leaving everything behind is a form of freeing oneself from burden. I'm an optimist :-)

yes. I wouldn't kill myself so I don't see any other option do you? Besides if there is something behind you there has to be something in front.
