One way I clean viruses from an infected system is by removing the hard from the affected system and hooked it up to another computer via USB and get that HD scanned.
After the scanning and cleaning is complete, save your valuable data from that HD and burn them on CD/DVD or a USB stick. You do this just in case the affected HD gets completely messed up when you put it to your laptop.
Good luck, let me know if you further help.

It all depends on how much damage was done by the viruses. You might just want to format your hard drive and reinstall the operating system. Just make sure you have the OS disc before you format.
The only other way around this is making a boot floppy disk with the antivirus program on it...possibly running it from your floppy drive in "safe mode" if you own a pc. If you own a mac...well your up Sh!t creek.

Really too late for anti virus, although try some of teh free online scan/cleans see if they get rid of hem
ALWAYS better to have protection in place first, I'd suggest the FREE good program at www.avast.com
What you're doing is trying to clear an infection rather than prevent it. (Kinda like going to a doctor with genital warts after the event rather than using protection while having fun)

If this is completely crashed and you cannot get into windows then no, its not suggested.
You maybe able to hook it up to another computer to scan and remove virus's. But chances are the virus already killed your file system.
My suggestion to you is too buy that excellent anti virus program, but still reinstall windows.

You could try booting from another drive and running a scan on the drive. This website tells how to create a bootable cd that you can use and then run a scan from there. I have done this using AVG antivirus and it cleared up the drive enough that I was able to boot into Windows and do a real scan and clean out the PC.

There are a lot of things here, if it will turn on at all then you can download a program called spybot search and destroy and it will remove a lot of those "viruses" on your computer plus its a free program. If it wont turn on at all check your power supply and connections and make sure everything is installed correctly, if it still wont turn on then you have a bigger problem than viruses.

You can consult with a tech, but it sounds like your hard drive is cashed. The excellent security programs are for pre, not post.
