I just got a 1988 lincoln town and I'm trying to use the keyless entry but I dont have the five digit code. Is there a way to override that, and set up a new code. I have the owners guide but it doesnt say. HELP.

Actually if you look in the trunk there is usually a little white sticker that will have the code on it. However with the car being so old it may not be there anymore. Give it a shot, it's usually on one of the trunk arms.

Most times the dealer can run the vin and get or reset the codes. You will have to prove ownership first.
