Zero-point energy is actually something that does exist, as it is representative of the energy in a vacuum, i.e. space. When looking at a vacuum, it isn't really emptiness at all. It is actually described as a many body problem; a problem physics has difficulty in dealing with mathematically. However, it can be done nonetheless. The non-emptiness is actually taken to be teaming with activity on the atomic to subatomic scales. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle essential makes the claim that particles can jump in and out of existence, created from nothing. So on the scale mentioned, you have this activity of particles being created and destroyed with no net energy increase or decrease so as to hold true the conservation of energy principle. It is the belief that one can tap into this activity, which would not violate any known laws of physics. This is the idea of zero-point energy.

Good Evening Your Majesty.

Stargate is perhaps the lousiest sci-fi TV show that I have ever seen. The plots are full of holes, the military tactics are laughable. The set dressing is by w@nkers. Why does an interstellar spacecraft use torches in sconces for lighting? Haven't they discovered kerosene lamps? Why is a quarry lit by braziers during daylight? Most of the light from the braziers would have gone upward where it would have been of little use. That was just one or two shows.

You can freakin' guarantee if it's on Stargate it's cr@p.

Space appears to have a good deal of potential energy. However, crank claims and wishful thinking notwithstanding, there is no known way to extract useful amounts of this energy.

Its now no longer a count variety of "believing" any extra than some thing in technological expertise. at modern it extremely is one hypothesis usedd to describe some quantumn phenomenae. yet at this factor there is now no longer adequate records to verify or disgard it--and could now no longer be for years. mutually as adequate records is availabel, we will understand no count extensive type if its suitable or incorrect. What I--or each and every person--"believes" is beside the factor.

Yes it is actually real. Basically it is the lowest energy state of a vacuum.
