What do you do to cheer yourself up when you're overwhelmed?

As for me, I just try and put everything into perspective and ask myself, "Will this matter to me in 5 years?" If not...then don't stress.

10 of my newest contacts on here can actually make me laugh out loud--just with silly answers to questions--or silly questions. I hate it when none of them are on. It helps, a lot.

Generally, I phone people in other states, whom I've known many years (but live very far away from). They know me, understand my way of thinking, support me, and also have the knack for making me laugh.

Try meditation, exercise (especially outdoor walking/jogging), yoga, kick-boxing, etc.--these really help (also swimming, bowling, anything that involves moving).

Be sure to get plenty of sleep, eat as 'right' as you can, etc.--it does matter. Feel better :)

I just block block the problem out of my mind. I conclude that, worrying over it isn't going to yield any positive results, why worry.
