Where can I get a guitar that sounds like this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=4axwa1yukom&m...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=737bof0klye&m...
Rather than this:

Is it a difference in tuning, or the guitar type?
I know absoulutly nothing about guitars so be nice.
I'm planning on buying a guitar soon and teaching myself.
Are guitars hard to play?
Any advice?
Thank you so much.

Also, would this guitar sound okay, as my first one ever?

Hello, The Videos didnt work and The Toysrus guitar would be ok for learning but you would need a better one for Actually playing a song for audience like a fender would be good you could get one for about 300$ And playing the Guitar can be hard at first but try it and dont give up and you'll succeed.

Those videos are still processing so I am unable to view them.. however, I can guess that you probably want the sound of a "spanish" guitar as opposed to a normal one (watch Desperado the movie)

They sound softer and much smoother, very mellow notes... rather than the clunkier sounding normal ones (i'm not sure what they're called)

The main difference is what the strings are made out of, normal being metal and spanish being some kind of plastic, i think.

Spanish are much harder to play, but worth the effort.

I tried twice to learn the guitar, failed miserably. I think my fingers aren't long enough to get around properly, plus my hands are soft.. you need to build up calluses on your fingertips to properly hold down the string against the guitar arm (whatever it's called) to get a clean sounding crisp note.

The sounds have a lot to do with the guitar you get, but i think more so with the amplifier. Like with one amplifier you could get a very clean sound, but by turning a knob or flicking a switch that sound could change to a really dirty, gritty sound if you wanted.
My advice would be to go to a music store like guitar center, and usually they will let you try out different guitars and different amps for free. They might even help you with your questions if you have any more.

My guess would be the distortion effect
Different distortion setting

If you're learning the guitar, I'll actually suggest that you start off with acoustic guitar instead of electric guitar

I think a music store would be able to help you better. Go into a store that sells guitars and they can answer all of your questions. There are differences in the types of guitars. I have tried to teach myself to play guitar and I think it would be best to get a guitar teacher to make it easier.
