I'm planning a birthday trip to Vegas next month, but would like to take it during the week. I've never been to Vegas during the week and I'm not sure what to expect. I want a fun but very relaxed little get-a-way. Any suggestions on lounges or clubs to visit during the week? What else is there to do in Vegas besides shopping and gambling? I love to shop but would like to do a variety of things.

I am born and raised in Las Vegas and celebrated my 21st birthday on the Strip.... It was a Tuesday night and I went to Pure. Supposedly it's local's night, but it was still insanely busy and crowded. I didn't have a lot of fun, but it could also have been the company. I managed to go a second time with friends who had a table there and had more fun.

Basically, I thought it was overrated to go to one of these huge clubs, so I would probably go for Mix Lounge in Mandalay Bay or Voodoo Lounge at the Rio... they are both skytop lounges, so it's a great view and a great time.

Weekdays are always better, because it won't be wall to wall people walking down the strip. Taxi's are easier to get, restaurants, have less waiting time, & if you gamble, it's easier to find a slot machine a place at the tables, and all in all more elbow room. Last but not least, McCarren Airport is far less crowded coming or leaving. Try to leave on Saturday or Sunday, just allow at least 2 hours to leave. If you drive, on weekends are murder to get around in a private vehicle. The traffic is a killer. Stick to Monday morning thru thursday afternoon to stay.

you can go to the many spas that several hotels have in their casinos or you can try out new restaurants that vegas is known for...for clubs, im not sure since there is alot and it might be hard to get into a well known one...there is also many museums and musicals in vegas, i think bellagio has a museum and new york new york has some several plays going on ^^

Week day, week end...no difference in Vegas. So much to do and see. I suggest hitting a least one show while you're there.

Vegas.com is a great site. It lists everything to do.

Have fun...enjoy.
