The real question is whether you like your job. If you love what you do, then stick with it, or find someplace else you can do the same thing with more tolerable people. But if you don;t like your job, no question, let it go. No amount of money is worth sacrificing your true passions for.

No, make sure you get your 50K bonus for this year first.

Now about the 20K for the succeeding years... how many years you have to do that?

With the 50K bonus, you can immediately start a good investment.
1) Avoid stock markets of any kind

How did you earn the bonus? I would love to learn how you made the money.

Besides your boss wants to remove you so he/she can take your bonus. For 50K, I would start looking for a good lawyer to prevent your boss from stealing your bonus.

Let me ask you this: do you enjoy your job except for your boss? How would you feel if you quit because of your boss and then she/he quit or got fired a week or two later?

I'd say if you otherwise are happy with your job and can hang in there, stay with it until the end of the year to get this year's bonus. As for the remaining years' bonuses, after the year is up you should re-evaluate.

try to find something else if you can't stand where you're at. also ask yourself if your boss is justified , workwise, in being a thorn in your side because bad bosses are all over the place and your next good boss can be replac ed by a bad one. giving up the money is ok if you're ok with it finacially.
