is there any way to do a complete hard reset computer wipe?

i want to completely wipe my laptop and start from scratch, the way you get it out of the box. how would i go about doing that?

Before you wipe, make sure you have a restore DVD or CDs. If the laptop is fairly recent, you may have to burn these yourself. Check the help menu under wizards.

Wiping is easy. I use Darik's Boot & Nuke

Better have an install disk handy. Restore is probably your only option.
