ok it's not illegal to talk not even sexually...And o well she's older your not doing anything since it's a long distance relationship and your 17 so that means u'll be 18 soon enough and legal. So by the time you meet/if u decide to meet and stuff it probably won't matter....and some states it depends on the age but i doubt it'd matter since its still a ldr.

Is it in the United States? Technically, if you were having physical relations, if the girl is over 18 and you're not, she could be accused of statutory rape. But that won't happen, it usually only does if the guy is older, plus I've heard that guys turn legal at 17. But by just talking...age doesn't matter

As long as you aren't having sex you are ok with the law. However, if someone suspects something like that is going on then all hell can break loose and the law will get involved and that wouldn't be any fun. I would just cool it until you are 18, most states have laws that would really mess up her life if they wanted to go after her. If you love her you might want to think about that. And what in the world does this much older women want with an under age youngster like yourself?

Why can't she wait until you are 18 to get involved in a romance with you? Trust me there is something a little off with her, so proceed with extreme caution! Really be careful.

It is only illegal if you have sexual relations with her.
As for now, you seem to just be talking, it is ok. Once you turn 18, it is all legit.

But, I would be wary of talking to this girl to begin with - I do not know anything about your relationship with her, but if this girl is older, then why is she interested in a younger guy, who I take is still in high school?

I don't mean to rag on you, but I just find it odd that is all, and am kind of wondering about her intentions. But then again, Love knows no boundaries...

Seriously, no, it is not illegal. If you were older, and she was younger and her aunt found out, the aunt may be able to do something about it. And even if you were sexually active, technically the girl would be doing the "illegal" thing-and you wouldn't get in trouble.

no, it is not illegal, but it's also not generally accepted socially. I was always taught to observe the three year rule when dating older guys in highschool. I would go with that one. Although, generally it's more acceptable to go out with someone your own age. If you care about this person then i would back out of that relationship until you are in college.

Technically if in a sexual relationship, however I don't think it is illegal! Who is going to charge her. No one! They may make her stop!

Though you should be talking to people your own age until you are older and have a little more life experience under your belt!

It's not a crime to be in love.

Is she from another state? What's the age of consent in your state and hers? I think in most states, age of consent is around 17.

Some people need to shut the hell up and mind their own business, like this girl's aunt, for example.
