My CD drive is broken. It won't open and it is making this clicking sound and it makes litte movements like it is tryiong to open but can't. How involved is installing a new drive? Thanks.

It's not hard at all. Unplug the computer, remove the screws from the back, take the case cover off, remove the power cord and data cable from the CD drive, remove the screws from the sides of the drive, push it through the front of the computer. Open the new drive and reverse those steps.
HOWEVER, before starting, just take a paperclip and straighten it out. Poke it into the little hole on your CD drive. The door will open, and you can see what's stuck.

Very easy, Just pull case from computer, and you will notice the CD is mounted with probably 2 screws on each side. Unplug the Power and IDE connector from back, and remove CD. After getting it out match new CD to the master/slave jumper on back of CD. You can use a DVD if you like since they are identical except DVD's play movies, and CD's don't. :)

It's no sweat. It's just opening the case, removing some screws and replacing the drive.
Done it tons of times on our computers here at home. Just remember to unplug the computer first. You don't want the power running through the computer while you work inside it.
